Visiting the Balloon Museum

Mary at the Balloon Museum

May 14, 2025

There’s nothing better than being out and about on a spring day in San Francisco. To celebrate the day, I took my sister to explore the innovation and creativity on display at EmotionAir, an exhibition on view at the Balloon Museum at the Palace of Fine Arts.

The building, conceived to evoke a decaying ruin of ancient Rome, was built to house art exhibitions during the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. When the exposition closed, San Franciscans wanted to keep the building. Subsequently, it was restored and remains one of the City’s most recognizable landmarks.

The EmotionAir exhibition explores the profound relationship between art and emotions through the captivating medium of inflatable art. If you’re in San Francisco, it’s worth the visit https://tickets.balloonmuseum.world/emotion-air-san-francisco/
