A few weeks ago, I was delighted to be a judge for the Stanford University Longevity Center’s annual Longevity Design Challenge. This year’s challenge was “Reimagining Education and Learning for Long Lives.”
The SLC design challenge is a global competition that invites university students to develop creative, research-based solutions that address the challenges and unlock the opportunities that come from longer lives.
Today, SLC announced the winners:
1st Place: Bloom (School of Visual Arts, USA) – An app that helps unemployed youth explore career paths and overcome mental health challenges through activity-based self-discovery.
2nd Place: Flo (Indian Institute of Technology, India) – A deck-building card game inspired by ikigai, guiding players to connect personal abilities with real-world challenges.
3rd Place: Praxice (University of Maribor, Slovenia) – A web platform that helps young professionals turn academic knowledge into practical IT job skills.
SLC also announced their design challenge for next year, “Prevention by Design – Creating Healthy Lifestyles for Long Lives!” Get more information at https://longevity.stanford.edu/design-challenge/
